Sail

Our annual holiday to Kaiteriteri this year was a little different, our two children now adults, were doing their own thing, so this holiday was purely more adult-like. 

We both celebrated our 50th birthday this year, my present to Steve was a full day sail on his favourite kind of boat, a catamaran!! 

I knew they sailed daily from Kaiteriteri, as over the years we have watched them come and go each day… knowing one day we just may get to go. Sailing was a big part of Steve’s childhood, so to bring that back for a day was pure joy to watch.  As you will see he got involved!

The weather was overcast, and virtually no wind, we motored north into the Abel Tasman National Park, skimming passed many small bays along the way, by the time lunch came the wind had sprung up and the cloud had burnt off, sails went up and we were sailing ⛵️
